““Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.””

Revelation 4:11 ESV

Chapter 4 of Revelation is a vision given to John of how things will take place during the rapture and after the rapture. In chapter 2 and 3 we see the letters to the churches Jesus wrote. After chapter 3 we see no mention of the church. What we do see in the first verse of chapter 4 is the words “Meta Tauta” in English it means “After these things”. I believe because it says after these things combined with the fact there is no mention of the “church” the term “after these things” means after the rapture. Or, after the church age! Also, all the elements of the rapture are included in these verses.

- “After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”” Revelation 4:1 ESV

- “At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne.” Revelation 4:2 ESV

We have all heard friends say what they were going to when they get to heaven. I’ve thought and said some of the same things. Use your imagination and think about some of those things you would like to do when or if you get there. There are a number of secular songs that talk about heaven and what they think it’s going to be like. I however, believe it will be like what John has written through divine inspiration in todays verse.

We will cast our crowns before the throne saying:

““Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.””

Revelation 4:11 ESV

In other words, I believe we will be so enthralled with the beauty and majesty of our God we will fall before His throne and do nothing else but praise Him and worship Him!

He alone is worthy!

Love ya,

Pastor Don
